Hunting and fishing in the heart of Oklahoma

Whoever said Mondays are boring needs to clear their calendar for a visit to Chickasaw Country. This past Monday, I had the time of my life at a hidden gem tucked outside Stonewall, OK.

Wildcat Springs Ranch is the perfect getaway for the outdoorsy person in your life. They’ll be singing your praises when you recommend this place to them. First things first, your outdoorsy friend will want to see the ranch. This place has everything from whitetail deer hunting (which just so happens to be their specialty) to bow fishing, exotic game hunting and more. Even on a rainy day, I had the best time seeing the 7,300 acres of beautiful land that make up Wildcat Springs.

My visit included seeing some fantastic creatures while I was at the ranch. Meet the zebras, rams and my new pal Lucy the yak.

When you’re done exploring, the lodge is perfect for cozying up by the fire or relaxing after a long day outdoors.

Have I mentioned I could do some serious TV watching and book reading from that comfy living room?

It’s safe to say this day was one for the books. I’m already planning my return trip so that I can brush up on my fishing skills.
