Flavors of Chickasaw Country: Giuseppe's
One might think that great Italian food is next to impossible to find here in Oklahoma. Well, I’m here to disprove that myth by telling you about our next Flavors of Chickasaw Country stop.
Located on Main Street in Marlow, Oklahoma, Giuseppe’s is the kind of Italian food you would have to go to Italy to get. Luckily, you can find a bite of Italy smack dab in south-central Oklahoma.
One thing that I love about Giuseppe’s is that part of the restaurant is housed in a historic 1911 bank building, complete with the vault inside the dining room.
Another part about this restaurant that’s fascinating is the password-protected “Broom Closet.” I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but trust me; it’s a dining experience you don’t want to miss.
Now, the part I know you’re all waiting for—the food. Whether you’re ordering the pizza, peppers and onions, pesto bruschetta, the bread (that’s as big as your head), or any of their other menu choices, you can’t go wrong.
Holy Toledo! I wasn’t kidding about the size of the bread. I’m already chomping at the bit to get back to Giuseppe’s and have my favorite, their lasagna.
