Flavors of Chickasaw Country-Casa Romo

I go weak in the knees for Mexican food. You all might think I’m crazy, but I could eat queso and salsa nearly every day of the week.

That being said, it’s safe to say that our next stop on the Flavors of Chickasaw Country series is one I’ll be returning to! Casa Romo is a family-owned restaurant in the heart of downtown Ardmore. It was perfect that Lindsey, the previous Chickasaw Country travel blogger, and my first Flavors of Chickasaw Country road trip together would be to eat one of our shared loves--Mexican food. Upon arrival, Lindsey and I were astonished at the gorgeous building where Casa Romo is housed. Trust me. It’s definitely a sight to see!

After Lindsey and I sat down and chatted with Jose Romo and his son, Daniel, we learned about their time in the restaurant business, the origin of their heritage and what makes Casa Romo a unique restaurant in south-central Oklahoma. Now, I don’t want to spoil the surprise for you, but their food is mmm, mmm good!

I bet you’re ready to hear about our behind-the-scenes chat with Casa Romo, aren’t you? Perfect, because it’s time for you to hit play to learn more about this top-notch Mexican restaurant.

My, oh my! If you haven’t grabbed your car keys to get to Casa Romo in Ardmore yet, I suggest you do so now. While you’re there, try their oregano-infused fajitas, and tell them Caroline and Lindsey sent you!

Stay tuned for more on our journey through the Flavors of Chickasaw Country series.

Caroline
