History & Antiques Go Hand-In-Hand!
What was once the historic Hotel Love in Purcell is known today as Butler's Antiques. Hotel Love was once a sixty-three room hotel constructed in 1895 and stands today in very close resemblance to the original state. The current owners have spent years doing extensive restoration work to ensure the property looks authentic to its original condition. According to BlogOklahoma.us, Love Hotel was known as one of the finest hotels in the Chickasaw Nation, the Pride of Purcell, and the building was superior to anything of its kind in Indian Territory at the time.
The environment of the store is warm and welcoming and the architectural detail is phenomenal. Each room is set up in a pleasing arrangement, and the items in the room are arranged either according to color, theme or vignette. The two-story antique store carries a full assortment of antiques and collectibles. Be sure to stop by when in Purcell and enjoy a historical shopping experience at Butler's!
