It’s spooky season, and Chickasaw Country has the most spine-chilling, hair-raising, FUN events for the season!
Family-Friendly
If you are looking for fun for the whole family, you can find it in several Chickasaw Country locations:
October 15 - Enjoy a free movie night at the Chickasaw White House featuring Hocus Pocus beginning at 8 p.m.! Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets while wearing your favorite costume to immerse yourself in this Halloween classic.
October 22 - Head to the town of Davis for the annual Boo Crew’s Halloween parade and carnival in Fullerton Park. The parade begins at 4 p.m., and the carnival starts at 5 p.m. The carnival will include games, inflatables, a petting zoo, arts and crafts, food and more!
October 29 - Check out The Clubhouse in Ardmore for the Clubhouse Boo-tacular from 5-9 p.m. This event features games, prizes, photo opportunities, a costume contest, food and more!
Also October 29 from 7-9 p.m., Ardmore Regional Park will host an inaugural Pumpkin Float at the kids' fishing pond. Participants can bring their own carved and decorated 8-inch (or smaller) pumpkin to one of the drop-off areas along the pond. The pumpkins will be illuminated and floated for you!
Hair Raising
Offering two attractions for spine-chilling fun, Newcastle Nightmare Haunted Trail and Graveyard offers an outdoor walking path with twists and turns through haunting scenes of Eternal Slumber and a ride through the backwoods countryside known as Camp Carnage. Newcastle Nightmare is open every weekend throughout October.
Have you ever wondered what a historic site is like at night? From October 25 to October 29, Fort Washita between Madill and Durant will host candlelight walking ghost tours of the site. Tour times begin at 7 p.m. Reserve your tour time before it’s too late.
Turner Falls Park turns spooky on October 29 from 6-9 p.m. with its annual carnival and haunted forest presented in partnership with the Davis Police Officer Reserve Association. Find family-friendly fun at the carnival but expect a fright in the haunted forest!
Fun Tricks and Sweet Treats
The Duncan Main Street merchants will host Boo Review on Main Street, a trick-or-treating event for the kids in costumes, on October 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Boo Review will also feature a pumpkin carving contest, haunted house and music.
Bring your costumed kiddos to Pennington Creek Park in Tishomingo on October 31 from 5-7 p.m. for a festive Trunk-or-Treat.
Visit the storefronts along Main Street in Ada from 4-6 p.m. on October 29 for the annual Ada’s Halloween on Main!
