Enjoy the great outdoors in Jeff Davis Park. The Jeff Davis Park is a community park located in downtown Rush Springs and is the home grounds of the annual Rush Springs Watermelon Festival! The park offers a wide range of amenities for visitors to enjoy including: an entertainment pavilion, picnic area, children’s playground, natural spring fountain, basketball courts and softball fields. The historic Rush Creek, which was once used to furnish water for Native Americans, the first settlers and cowboys along the Chisholm Trail, also runs through the park. The park is free and open to the public daily. Head to Jeff Davis Park on the 2nd Saturday in August for the world-famous Watermelon Festival or at any time of the year to enjoy a fun day in the park with family and friends!
