Welcome to Canvasing Chickasaw Country
Welcome to Canvasing Chickasaw Country! As some of you may know today is the official launch day that I’ve been waiting for since I began traveling this incredible region of Oklahoma.
I guess I should take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Brooke , your official travel blogger and eCommunity manager. By definition this means I have the most incredible job in the world. I’m here to travel through the Chickasaw Nation, which is all or part of the south central 13 Oklahoma counties, and share with you my experiences. This also means if you’re following any of our social media accounts, I’m the girl behind the curtain.
Since the beginning of September, I’ve been eagerly awaiting today. It’s been one of the most difficult responsibilities in my not to have an outlet (until today) to share my experiences. It is to be noted, that as with all websites going live there may be a few hiccups in the next few days, hang with me and we’ll work through this together! Also, you may have noticed the commenting widget is still under construction. We hope to have it active soon; however, until then, feel free to send me your thoughts via twitter, or Facebook.
Here are a few of my favorite posts:
In September, the Gene Autry birthday jamboree caught my attention. Naturally this included a shootout at high noon.
The Chickasaw Cultural Center in Sulphur surprised me in October with an evening I won’t soon forget. I was only a month into this incredible job when I completely fell in love with Chickasaw Country.
