Uniquely Stratford

You'll find yourself immersed in peach country at the intersection of Oklahoma Highway 177 and 19. While planning my travels throughout Oklahoma, Stratford was on the list but not until next summer when the peaches are ripe, and the Annual Peach Festival is in full swing.

However, I’m 110% glad my 4fourtires led me to Stratford in mid-September. Otherwise, I would have gone a year without knowing Stratford’s little secret!

The colorful building on the southwest corner of the intersection is home to refurbished furniture, jewelry, clothing and items you could only dream of knowing how to make.

As a proud member of the female population, I’ve been to a few stores. Okay, fine – a lot of stores. However, you should know there’s something different about this one. From the moment I stepped foot into Uniques, I felt like I was a member of the Stratford community. Kristi Morton, the owner of Uniques, is the type of person who genuinely asks how your day is and waits for a response.

As if owning a store bringing ‘out-of-towners’ into the community wasn’t cool enough, Kristi is also as cute as a button.

This is really awesome – considering she has many unique buttons for sale!

As I plan my next road trips, you better believe II will make sure Uniques fits into the agenda.
